A national event titled "Victory Epos," dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, was held through the initiative of the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex.
The event, which took place at the Modern Education Complex, was attended by Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Member of Parliament of Azerbaijan Nigar Arpadarai, Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov, Director of Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex Aygun Mikayilova, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Compulsory Education and General Education Mehriban Valiyeva, representatives of the Nasimi District Executive Authority and the "IDEA" Public Union, as well as teachers, students, parents, and other guests.
Before the event, guests had the opportunity to explore an exhibition featuring artwork created by students and projects reflecting their desire to see Karabakh in 2030.
The event began with the singing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and freedom of our lands.
Subsequently, the students and teachers of the complex performed the "Kharı Bulbul" dance. It is worth noting that the choreography of the dance was led by the complex's dance instructor, Turan Abdullayev.
Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, delivered a speech on "Heydar Aliyev and Karabakh," providing extensive information about the national leader's activities against Armenians who wanted to separate Karabakh from Azerbaijan and merge it with Armenia.
He shared his views on how Heydar Aliyev, the genius son of our nation, took decisive actions against the plans of Armenians to seize Karabakh, and all subversive actions were thwarted only after his membership in the Political Bureau in 1987, with 20% of our lands being occupied by Armenians. He also shared his thoughts on the liberation of our lands from occupation under the leadership of the Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev during the Patriotic War.
Later, Rahman Hajiyev answered students' questions about the restoration and construction works in Karabakh and the activities of the Fund in this regard.
Following this, the guests watched the performance of the "Victory Epos," staged by the students and teachers of the complex. The performance depicted the historical journey of Turkic peoples from the 11th century and the magnificent victory we achieved during the Patriotic War.
At the end of the performance, the 11th-grade students presented the Iron Fist attribute, symbolizing victory, to the 10th-grade students.
Nigar Arpadarai, a Member of Parliament of Azerbaijan, shared her impressions of the event in her speech.
Finally, Aygun Mikayilova, the Director of the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, including the participants.
It is worth noting that this event is not the first one organized jointly by the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex. In April 2022, a charity concert titled "A Tree for Karabakh from Each of Us" was held under the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, where 600 trees were donated to the Karabakh Revival Fund for afforestation projects in Karabakh.
The Karabakh Revival Fund has also organized informative discussions with young people and students at several universities under the "Karabakh Talks" discussion platform. Similar discussions are planned to be held at other educational institutions as well.
