"Colors of Karabakh"
The presentation of the "Colors of Karabakh" project was held, with proceeds from the sale of artworks amounting to 90,200 manats donated to the KRF
The presentation of the "Colors of Karabakh" project was held, and 90,200 manats from the sale of artworks were donated to the Karabakh Revival Fund.
On May 20, the presentation of the "Colors of Karabakh" project, initiated and organized by the Karabakh Revival Fund, took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Baku.
The event was attended by official figures, members of parliament, prominent representatives of culture and society, donors to the Fund, as well as authors of the artworks prepared within the project and media representatives.
At the beginning of the event, guests familiarized themselves with a special exhibition showcasing artworks created within the project.
Subsequently, Rahman Hajıyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, provided information about the "Colors of Karabakh" project, emphasizing that the main goal of the project is to unite the Azerbaijani public around the restoration and construction works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The ultimate aim is to contribute to the restoration and development efforts and, most importantly, to promote the beauty of this land and the cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people.
It was noted that the created artworks will soon be exhibited in one of Baku's famous galleries with the consent of their new owners.
Following the screening of a short film dedicated to the project, 19 paintings and 4 sculptures created by 23 talented students of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, along with their "Originality" certificates, presented to their new owners who donated to the fund.
It's worth noting that the artworks were sold through the official website of the project, www.colorsofkarabakh.com, generating a donation of 90,200 manats to the Fund.
During the event, participants were presented with the "Karabakh Pearl" carpet, gifted to the Karabakh Revival Fund by "Azerkhalca" OJSC.
Emin Mammadov, the Chairman of the Exesuitve Board of "Azerkhalca" OJSC, provided extensive information about the carpet, which embodies the colors of Karabakh.
It should be noted that the first knots of the carpet were tied in November 2022, with the initial knot being tied by Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Subsequently, 162 guests from 42 countries also contributed knots to the carpet, turning it into a magnificent piece of art.
Following a symbolic cutting of the carpet's thread, sweets were sprinkled on the carpet, adhering to ancient traditions.
It was mentioned that the carpet will be auctioned for charity in the near future, with all proceeds going to the Karabakh Revival Fund.
During the event, speeches were delivered by Murad Huseynov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farhad Khalilov, People's Artist and President of the Azerbaijan Union of Artists, and Natig Aliyev, People's Artist and Rector of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts.
Special plaques were presented to Farhad Khalilov, Natiq Aliyev, as well as to the Pro-Rectors of the Academy, Selhab Mammadov and Fuad Salayev, for their mentorship in the creation of the artworks. The Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts was also awarded a "Certificate of Appreciation" for its organizational support to the project, followed by a commemorative photo.
It's important to note that the "Colors of Karabakh" project was implemented with the organizational support of the Ministry of Culture of the Azerbaijan
