Rahman Tofiq oglu Hajiyev was born on April 17, 1980, in Baku.
After completing secondary school in 1997, he entered the Faculty of International Relations at Baku State University, where he obtained both bachelor’s and master’s degrees (with honors). In 2019-2020, he pursued studies in the "Global Executive MBA" program at IE Business School (Madrid, Spain).
From 2002 to 2008, Rahman Hajiyev held various positions at MBASK Insurance Company, including serving as a member of the Executive Board
In 2009, he held the positions of Chief Editor and Executive Director at "First News Media" Information Agency. In 2011, he worked as the Chief Editor of "Bakinskiy Rabochiy" newspaper, an official media organ of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Currently, he serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of "Sabah" Football Club.
He is married and has two children.
