Adalat Muradov

Adalat Jalal oglu Muradov was born on January 29, 1962. In 1979, he graduated from secondary school No. 5 with a focus on chemistry and biology. From 1980 to 1982, he served in the military in the Siberian Military District.  He received his higher education at the Faculty of Economics of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University from 1985 to 1990. In 1993, he completed his postgraduate studies at Kyiv State University, and in 1998, he defended his doctoral dissertation.

In 1994, he headed the company "Profi - AD" LTD (Kyiv).

From 1995 to 1999, he was engaged in pedagogical activities at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University.

From 1998 to 1999, he worked as a department head at the Investment Bank "IB Austria Securities (Ukraine)".

In 1999, he worked as a professor at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

From 2002 to 2007, he headed the Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan (currently the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan). From 2007 to 2009, he headed the Foreign Trade Policy and World Trade Organization Department, and from 2009 to 2014, the Economic Policy, Analysis and Forecasting Department.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 5, 2014, he was appointed rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).

He is a State Counselor.

On September 24, 2020, he was awarded the Shohrat Order on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan.

On September 9, 2021, he was elected chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the VII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party (March 5, 2021), he was elected a member of the YAP Board.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 4, 2021, he was appointed a member of the Supervisory Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund.

He speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian.

He is married and has two children.
