Registration Opens for the “Revival Cup” Charity Football Tournament

Registration is now open for the new — third — season of the “Revival Cup” charity football tournament, eagerly awaited by football fans across Azerbaijan.

The tournament, initiated and organized by the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF), will hold its draw ceremony in November, while the first-round matches will kick off in December.

Government institutions and companies operating in Azerbaijan may participate in the tournament by making a donation of 2,000 AZN to the Karabakh Revival Fund.

According to the tournament regulations, 44 teams are expected to compete for the championship title. The tournament aims to contribute to the restoration of Karabakh while promoting a healthy lifestyle within society. It should be noted that 40 teams competed in each of the tournament’s previous two seasons.

The tournament will run for six months. The players and head coaches of the teams finishing in the top three positions will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively, as well as special prizes. Additional awards will also be presented to the tournament’s best goalkeeper, top scorer and Most Valuable Player (MVP). Matches will be held at the “Sportster” mini-football complex.

It should be particularly emphasized that one of the tournament’s most important features is its charitable nature. All funds raised through the tournament will be allocated to the development of sports infrastructure in the territories liberated from occupation. Thus, by taking part in the tournament, teams will not only compete on the pitch but will also contribute to the restoration of Karabakh.

As a reminder, a total of 141,000 AZN donated to the Karabakh Revival Fund by the sponsors and participants of the inaugural tournament, held during the 2024–2025 season (September 2024–February 2025), was allocated to the construction of sports grounds within Fuzuli Central Park in the city of Fuzuli.

The 115,000 AZN raised through the tournament’s 2025–2026 season (December 2025–June 2026) will be allocated to the development of sports infrastructure in the territories liberated from occupation.
