The team of the Karabakh Revival Fund visited the Khojaly genocide memorial

The team of the Karabakh Revival Fund visited the "Mother's Cry" memorial dedicated to the victims of the Khojaly genocide on the 32nd anniversary of the tragedy.

The collective members laid wreaths and bouquets of flowers in front of the memorial complex, deeply honoring the dear memory of the victims of the genocide.

It should be noted that on the night of February 25-26, 1992, with the assistance of the 366th Regiment of the USSR, the Armenian armed forces committed an unprecedented massacre against the Azerbaijani population in Khojaly.

As a result of the Khojaly genocide, which became the tragedy of the century, 613 residents of Khojaly, including 63 children, 106 women, and 70 elderly people, were brutally killed, 8 families were completely exterminated, and 25 children lost both parents, while 130 children lost one of their parents.

487 people, including 76 children, were injured by enemy bullets while 1275 people were taken hostage. The fate of 150 of the captives, including 68 women and 26 children, is still unknown to this day.

Starting on September 27, 2020, and lasting for 44 days, during the Patriotic War, our glorious army showed unparalleled courage and took revenge for the victims of the Khojaly tragedy, and the blood of our martyrs did not remain on the ground.
