More than 50 members of the Baku Marathon Club will support the Karabakh Revival Fund

On May 5, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, met with members of the Baku Marathon Club and the club's founder, Firdovsi Karimov.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached regarding the participation of more than 50 club members in the Baku Marathon on May 7, 2023, on behalf of the Karabakh Revival Fund.

Consequently, the team of the Baku Marathon Club will compete in the marathon with the slogan "Win for Karabakh!" alongside the staff of the Karabakh Revival Fund.

Based on the agreement between the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Baku Marathon Club, several races will be organized under the slogan "Win for Karabakh!" over the year to raise awareness, educate and promote the cause both domestically and internationally. Additionally, other joint events will be held within the framework of collaboration.

Rahman Hajiyev highly appreciated the offer of the team to participate in the Baku Marathon on behalf of the Karabakh Revival Fund. During the meeting, specially designed t-shirts prepared by the Karabakh Revival Fund were presented to the members of the Baku Marathon Club.

It should be noted that the Karabakh Revival Fund, as a partner in the Baku Marathon 2023, will participate in the marathon's fan zone with a special green pavilion named the "Marathon Garden."

This initiative aims to draw the attention of marathon participants and spectators to the damage inflicted on the environment around Karabakh as a result of Armenian occupation and the necessity of its restoration. Plans are underway to establish the "Marathon Garden" in Karabakh with financial support from the Karabakh Revival Fund and its donor company "Stevedoring" on behalf of the winners of the Baku Marathon 2023.
In the near future, with the participation of the winners of the Baku Marathon and members of the Baku Marathon Organizing Committee, a trip will be organized by the KRF to the area where the "Marathon Garden" will be planted, as well as to other liberated territories.
