On June 26, with the initiative and organization of the Karabakh Revival Fund, the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the sponsorship of "Aurora Group", the sponsorship of "ITALDIZAYN" CJSC, and the informational support of "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC, the charity concert named "Karabakh Night" took place at the stage of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall.
Veterans of the Patriotic War, government officials, representatives of donor companies and partners of the Fund who support the work done in the direction of the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories from occupation, as well as renowned figures of culture and art attended the concert as guests.
At the beginning of the event, a minute of silence was observed in memory of those who died for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Motherland.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Culture Anar Karimov mentioned the successful policy pursued by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in the field of army building and the attention paid to our army. The Minister noted that as a result of the heroism displayed by the victorious Azerbaijani army in the Patriotic War, our lands were liberated from Armenian occupation. Now our main goal is to support the construction works in Karabakh together.
Anar Karimov, during his speech, highlighted the Memorandum signed between the Ministry and the Karabakh Revival Fund, aimed at the restoration, reconstruction and protection of historical and cultural monuments in the liberated territories, as well as the establishment of sustainable settlements, the creation of favorable living conditions, development, and ultimately turning these areas into a region of high prosperity.
Subsequently, Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, provided information about the main purpose of the concert. The Chairman stated that the proceeds from this concert will be used for activities aimed at the restoration and reconstruction of Karabakh. Rahman Hajiyev, in addition to the Memorandum mentioned by Minister of Culture Anar Karimov during his speech, also stated that within the framework of cooperation, the restoration process of the Imaret Complex in Aghdam will start soon.
Rahman Hajiyev expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the realization of the " Karabakh Night" charity concert, as well as those who purchased tickets and contributed to the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories.
After the speeches, the event continued with the artistic part. Starting with the Overture from "Koroglu" opera by Uzeyir Hajibeyli and ending with the "Shikasta of Karabakh" turned into a symbol of Karabakh music, 14 musical numbers were presented to the audience during the concert program.
It should be noted that during the concert, performances were delivered by prominent figures such as the Rector of Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, member of the Supervisory Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, People's Artist Farhad Badalbeyli, the artistic director and chief conductor of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev, People's Artist Fakhraddin Kerimov, Honored Artists Aygun Mubariz, Jeyla Seyidova, Arzu Aliyeva, tar performer Rovshan Gurbanov, winners of the Mugam Television Contest Gunay Imamverdiyeva, Babek Shushali, and the conductor and soloist of the Orchestra of the Training and Education Center of the Azerbaijani Army, Captain Jalal Kerimov.
Immediately after the artistic part of the concert, the event continued with an official reception.
During the official reception, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Karimov, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund Rahman Hajiyev, member of the Supervisory Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund and member of the National Assembly Fatma Yildirim, and the Rector of Baku Music Academy, People's Artist, member of the Supervisory Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund Farhad Badalbeyli, expressed their solidarity and gratitude to the donors who supported the realization of the concert by presenting the Fund's "Certificate of Appreciation".
