On December 19, 2024, an event titled "Let’s Rebuild Karabakh More Beautifully Together" was held at the Elite Gymnasium named after Ilyas Afandiyev.

The event began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence in honour of the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.

In her opening speech, Saadat Jahandarova, Director of the Elite Gymnasium named after Ilyas Afandiyev, stated that the purpose of the exhibition is to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their talents while also fostering a spirit of patriotism.

The participants highly appreciated the exhibition of students' handicrafts and emphasized the significance of such exhibitions in enhancing students' knowledge about Karabakh.

Following the speeches, the participants viewed the exhibition.

The proceeds from the sale of handicrafts displayed at the exhibition were donated to the Karabakh Revival Fund to support the reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories.

Rashad Gasimzade, Advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Fund, highlighted the significance of the event in promoting a culture of donation in the country and presented a "Donation Certificate" to Saadat Jahandarova, Director of the Elite Gymnasium named after Ilyas Afandiyev.

At the end of the event, participants took a commemorative photo.

For information, the event was attended by Narmine Huseynova, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education under the Ministry of Science and Education and Acting Head of the Baku City Education Department; Fuad Garayev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Rashad Gasimzade, Advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund; Fariz Akbarov, Chairman of the Public Council under the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children’s Issues; Ofeliya Salmanova, the wife of National Hero Polad Hashimov; Nermin Khalilova, the wife of Vidadi Khalilov, a martyr of the Patriotic War known as the "Conqueror of Gubadli"; Tabriz Gorchizade, a veteran of the Patriotic War; as well as distinguished teachers and students of the gymnasium.
