Participants of the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament met with children with Down syndrome

On February 5, 2025, a meeting was held with children with Down syndrome at the initiative of the participants of the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament and organized by the Karabakh Revival Fund.

The event took place at the Rehabilitation Center for Individuals with Down Syndrome, operating under the ”Qayğı - For a Healthy Generation" Public Union. It was attended by representatives of the companies participating in the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament and donors of the Karabakh Revival Fund, including SOCAR, the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Modern Educational Complex named in honour of the Heydar Aliyev, Caspian Entertainment Company, UMICO Market, and CBC Sport TV channel. Children with Down syndrome and their parents also took part in the gathering.

During the event, children studying at the center danced to music, and various entertaining programs were presented for them.

On behalf of the "Revival Cup " charity football tournament participants, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, and representatives of the participating companies presented gifts to the children.

Following this, the director of the center, Natella Hasanova, introduced the guests to the facility and provided detailed information about the conditions created there.

It was noted that the center, built in 2013 at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, features computer, speech therapy, mathematics, astronomy, psychology, and preschool preparation rooms, as well as spaces for parents. Additionally, the center includes biology and zoology laboratories, a gym, a swimming pool, a cinema and theater hall, and various workshops for sculpture, crafts, carpet weaving, sewing, and painting.

The primary goal of the event was not only to show care and attention to children with special needs but also to encourage solidarity and unity among the donors of the Karabakh Revival Fund

It should be noted that the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament is being held under the initiative and organization of the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF), with the support of the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA), sponsorship from the Veyseloglu Group of Companies, partnership with "Azərlotereya" JSC, and media support from "CBC Sport" TV channel.

The 141,000 AZN donated to the Fund by the tournament participants will be allocated for the construction of sports fields in Fuzuli Central Park, which is being developed in the liberated city of Fuzuli at the order of the Karabakh Revival Fund.
