Final match and award ceremony of the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament was held

The final match and award ceremony of the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament, organized at the initiative of the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF), have been held.

The ceremony was attended by officials, representatives of state institutions and companies participating in the tournament, as well as members of the football community, donors and partners of KRF, renowned athletes, and journalists.

Prior to the event, the "Dede-baba" rock band performed, offering guests a true musical feast.

In the final match, the teams of the State Oil Company (SOCAR) and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) faced each other.

Following an intense competition, the SOCAR team defeated its opponent with a score of 1:0, becoming the champion of the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament.

After the final match, the award ceremony for the winners took place.

The ceremony was attended by Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of KRF; Sarkhan Hajiyev, Executive Vice President of AFFA; Jahangir Farajullayev, General Secretary of AFFA; Osman Karakus, Chairman of the Executive Board of "Azerlotereya" OJSC; and well-known footballer originally from Karabakh, Gara Garayev, who also served as the tournament's ambassador.

First, gold medals and the championship cup were presented to the SOCAR team, the winner of the tournament.

Silver medals were awarded to the IRIA team, which took second place, while bronze medals were presented to the "Advokat" team, which defeated the UMICO team 3:2 in the third-place match.

Elshad Guliyev (SOCAR GIPRO) was named the tournament's best goalkeeper, while Mehdi Mehdiyev ("Baku Steel Company") was recognized as the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP). Hakim Ibadov (UMICO), who scored 42 goals, was awarded the tournament's top scorer title, and the "Fair-Play Team" award was given to "SOCAR Midstream."

It should be noted that the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament featured teams from state institutions and companies that donated to KRF in support of the restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, with a total of 40 teams participating.

The 141,000 AZN donated by the tournament's sponsors and participants to the Karabakh Revival Fund will be allocated to the construction of sports fields within the territory of Fuzuli Central Park in the city of Fuzuli.

For information, the "Revival Cup" charity football tournament was held with the support of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), the main sponsorship of “Veyseloglu” Group of Companies, the partnership of "Azerlotereya" OJSC and media support from the "CBC Sport" TV channel.
