An exhibition featuring artworks by young artists dedicated to Karabakh was held in Baku.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition, organized at the "QGallery" art gallery, was attended by Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF); People's Artist, Professor, Rector of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts (ASAF ) Natig Aliyev; Honored Art Figure, Doctor of Art History, Professor, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ASUCA) Jeyran Mahmudova; People's Artist, Professor, Vice-Rector of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts Salhab Mammadov; other official figures, prominent representatives of culture and the public, donors and partners of the Fund, as well as young authors of the prepared artworks and media representatives.

Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, stated that 38 paintings dedicated to the mesmerizing nature and historical monuments of Karabakh, as well as the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, were created with the support of the Fund. These artworks were produced within a masterclass led by world-renowned German artist and professor at the Berlin Academy of Arts, Inga Schmidt, for students of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, with the aim of contributing to the development of young artists.

R. Hajiyev noted that most young artists participating in Inga Schmidt's masterclass are students of ASAF and ASUCA, selected from among hundreds of other students and entitled to participate in the final stage of the "Colors of Karabakh – 2025" project.

The Chairman recalled that within the "Colors of Karabakh - 2024" project held last year, 19 paintings and 4 sculptures created by 23 talented students studying at ASAF were sold, generating 90,200 AZN. This amount was directed toward the restoration of Panahali Khan's Imaret complex located in Aghdam district (more detailed information about the project can be found here).

It was noted that the implementation of the "Colors of Karabakh – 2025" project, jointly organized by KRF and ASAF, has already begun. The selection phase of the finalists participating in the project has concluded, and the process of preparing sketches for the artworks they will create is ongoing.

Natig Aliyev, Rector of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts; Salhab Mammadov, Vice-Rector of the Academy; and Jeyran Mahmudova, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, spoke about the project's importance, emphasizing its significant contribution to the future creative activities of young artists.

Following the speeches, special certificates were presented to the authors of the paintings.

Subsequently, exhibition participants viewed the artwork displayed and took commemorative photographs.
