As part of the Karabakh Education and Partnership Forum held in Khankendi, Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF) has announced a significant contribution to human capital development in the liberated territories.
The Fund will sponsor scholarships for 50 first-year students of Karabakh University during the 2025–2026 academic year.
This initiative was formalized through a partnership with the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The agreement reflects KRF’s strategic commitment to supporting access to higher education and promoting sustainable growth in the Karabakh region.
Under the terms of the program, each selected student will receive a monthly scholarship of 200 AZN for 10 months, amounting to 2,000 AZN per student. Beneficiaries will be identified by the university based on academic performance, in coordination with the Education Development Fund.
“Education is a driving force behind sustainable development and plays a vital role in ensuring the long-term resettlement and revival of our liberated territories,” said Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of Karabakh Revival Fund. “By supporting this scholarship program, we are investing in the region’s future. And by acting as one of the organizers of this important forum, KRF once again served as a unifying platform—bringing together public and private sector actors, promoting the program to our donors and partners, and encouraging other companies to join this important mission.”
This contribution is part of a broader scholarship initiative that brings together public institutions and leading companies under one vision: to create educational opportunities for youth, stimulate interest in the region, and accelerate the social and economic revival of Karabakh.
The Karabakh Education and Partnership Forum, held at Karabakh University in Khankendi, brought together high-level participants, including the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, Presidential Representative in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly regions Elchin Yusubov, Chairman of the Executive Board of Karabakh Revival Fund Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Education Development Fund Elnur Nasibov, Rector of Karabakh University Shahin Bayramov, as well as representatives of government agencies, leading private sector companies, and the university’s academic community.
