ATIB Business Breakfast Highlights Strategic Cooperation and Karabakh Revival Initiatives

On June 12, the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association (ATIB) held its latest traditional business breakfast.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün; Minister of Economy and Energy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Olgun Amcaoğlu; Member of Parliament Vugar Bayramov; Chairman of the Board of ATIB, Mursel Rustamov; Advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rashad Gasimzade; Head of the Fundraising and Communications Department of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Parvin Baghirova; Second Secretary of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Levent Kızılbağlı; Chief Trade Advisor of the Embassy, Murat Yaman; Advisor to the Representation Office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Baku, Ulaş Kıvılcım, as well as members of the ATIB Board and the Association.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Board of ATIB, Mursel Rustamov, underscored the importance of initiatives aimed at strengthening mutual engagement and strategic cooperation among member institutions. He emphasized that the active participation of public institutions and the private sector in such initiatives plays a vital role in fostering a dynamic, sustainable, and resilient business environment.

Ambassador Birol Akgün, Minister Olgun Amcaoğlu, MP Vugar Bayramov, and Advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rashad Gasimzade, commended ATIB’s efforts under the motto “One Nation, Two States” to provide equal opportunities for member companies and promote regional economic activity. The speakers noted that such initiatives significantly contribute to further strengthening Azerbaijan-Turkey relations and expanding trade and investment cooperation across the wider Turkic world.

As part of the event, Head of the Fundraising and Communications Department of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Parvin Baghirova, delivered a detailed presentation on the projects financed and implemented by the Fund. The presentation emphasized the promotion of a donation culture among employees of institutions and companies, the role of public-private partnerships in the reconstruction and development of the liberated territories, and the importance of joint cooperation opportunities.

She also drew attention to the upcoming charity concert “Karabakh Night”, scheduled for June 26, 2025, and encouraged everyone to support the restoration efforts in the liberated territories by purchasing tickets. The meeting concluded with an exchange of ideas on promoting corporate volunteering principles, encouraging employees to channel their knowledge, skills, and resources toward public benefit, and stimulating socially impactful civic initiatives.

At the end of the event, membership plaques were presented to newly joined members of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association.
