On July 8, 2025, the “Night of Karabakh” charity concert was held at the initiative and under the organization of the Karabakh Revival Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev.
The concert, now held for the fifth time, was made possible with the sponsorship of the Tamstore supermarket chain, Azərlotereya OJSC, and Huner Group, as well as with informational support from Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC (AzTV) and the State Advertising Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ADRA).
The event brought together government officials, representatives of donor companies and partner organizations supporting the restoration of the liberated territories through contributions to the Karabakh Revival Fund, as well as prominent figures from the fields of culture and the arts.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, outlined the concert’s primary objective, emphasizing that the funds raised would be directed toward restoration efforts in Karabakh:
“As you know, following the historic Victory achieved by our heroic Army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, Karabakh has entered a new phase—restoration, revival, and development. In this process, the unification of efforts among the state, the business sector, and society—as well as a spirit of solidarity in rebuilding the liberated territories—is of vital importance.
In this context, the Karabakh Revival Fund—established by Presidential Decree—has launched a range of initiatives and projects aimed at mobilizing donations, encouraging active civic participation, and promoting a culture of philanthropy. The ‘Night of Karabakh’ charity concert is one such initiative.”
Rahman Hajiyev expressed gratitude to all who supported the concert—both those involved in organizing the event and those who purchased tickets, thereby contributing to the reconstruction of the liberated territories.
The event continued with a vibrant artistic program. World-renowned tenor and People’s Artist Yusif Eyvazov, Honored Artist Afaq Abbasova, and soloists Mahir Taghizade and Aytaj Shikhalizade performed pieces from the operatic repertoire of both international and Azerbaijani composers, offering guests a truly memorable musical experience. The concert was accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, conducted by Mustafa Mehmandarov.
Following the performance, the evening proceeded with an official reception. During the reception, the Fund presented special plaques and certificates of appreciation to the partners, donors, and performers who had supported the event and demonstrated solidarity with the Fund’s mission.
Two photo exhibitions were also held in the Philharmonic Hall’s foyer:
– “Urbicide in Karabakh”, documenting the destruction caused during the Armenian occupation;
– and “From Tragedy to Triumph”, showcasing the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories.
It is worth noting that four previous concerts have been held to date: two in Baku (2022 and 2024), one in Ganja (2023), and one in Shusha (2024).
Nearly 400,000 AZN raised from the concerts held between 2021 and 2024 was allocated to the restoration and reconstruction of cultural heritage sites in the liberated territories, including the restoration of the Imarat Complex of Panah Ali Khan in Aghdam and the purchase of a Yamaha grand concert piano for the city of Shusha.
More than 73,000 AZN raised from this year’s concert will be directed toward the creation of Occupation and Victory Museum Complexes in the liberated territories.
These projects aim to commemorate the glorious Victory achieved in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, and to honor the memory of our martyrs.
