On November 5, 2025, an event titled “Victory Day: A Five-Year Chronicle of Pride” was held at Karabakh University in Khankendi to mark the fifth anniversary of Victory Day.

The event was jointly organized by the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF) and Karabakh University, bringing together Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Fund’s Executive Board; Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University; members of the academic staff; more than 200 students; as well as residents of Khankendi.

Held within the framework of the #KarabakhTalks discussion platform, the event commenced with the performance of the National Anthem, followed by a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

In his opening address, Rector Shahin Bayramov emphasized that this year marks the fifth anniversary of Victory Day — a date that has become a lasting symbol of national pride and honor. He spoke about the progress achieved in the development of education and the strengthening of human capital in the Karabakh region.

The Rector also highlighted the key priorities following the great victory achieved under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, during the Patriotic War, stressing the important role and responsibility of youth and students in this regard. He noted that students’ active involvement in discussions and events related to the reconstruction of Karabakh is highly commendable.

Delivering a comprehensive presentation, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund Rahman Hajiyev stated:

“Today, we are not only marking the fifth anniversary of our Victory, but also celebrating five years of national unity, determination, and an unbreakable spirit.” He added: “Under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army liberated our lands during the 44-day Patriotic War, bringing pride, joy, and confidence to our nation. Today, we are witnessing the fruits of that victory — the revival of a free Karabakh.”

Mr. Hajiyev also spoke about the role of solidarity in the reconstruction process, drawing examples from the post–World War I experience of cities rebuilt after devastation.

He went on to brief the participants on the activities of the Karabakh Revival Fund, established by the Presidential Decree dated January 4, 2021, outlining its key focus areas, implemented projects, and upcoming initiatives.

Following the speeches, the event continued with an interactive discussion and Q&A session, during which Rahman Hajiyev and Shahin Bayramov addressed numerous questions from the audience.

The event concluded with a concert program featuring performances by the university’s professors and students.
