
On November 26, 2025, a tree-planting initiative was held in Horovlu village of the Jabrayil district to mark the fifth anniversary of Victory Day, with the financial support of the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF) and the organizational support of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan Districts Public Legal Entity.
The event was attended by Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts; Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund; as well as residents of Horovlu village.
In his remarks, Vahid Hajiyev informed participants about the ongoing construction process in Horovlu, noting that restoration and rebuilding efforts are actively continuing. He also highlighted the measures being taken to ensure employment opportunities and improve the livelihoods of families resettled in the area.
Addressing the residents, Rahman Hajiyev provided an overview of the Fund’s activities and implemented projects. He emphasized that, under the leadership of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, reconstruction and development efforts across the liberated territories are progressing rapidly. Mr. Hajiyev underlined that the Fund’s mission is to provide financial support for these national reconstruction projects and to raise public awareness about the ongoing recovery process in Karabakh.
Following the speeches, the participants planted various species of trees in the village park.
This initiative marked the completion of a year-long project implemented with the financial support of the Karabakh Revival Fund. Within the framework of the project, a total of 1,170 trees were planted in the park area, including 70 oleanders, 50 olive trees, 450 Oriental plane trees, 100 Japanese medlars, 50 plum trees, 200 Eldar pines, and 250 pyramidal cypresses.
The restoration of ecological balance in the liberated territories is among the priority directions of the Karabakh Revival Fund’s activity. The Fund has already implemented several environmental projects and continues to launch new initiatives aimed at promoting a “green and sustainable Karabakh.”
It should be recalled that on October 28, 2025, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the first phase of Horovlu village and reviewed the ongoing reconstruction works.
To date, 132 families, comprising 541 people, have been resettled in Horovlu village. These families had previously lived in temporary accommodations such as dormitories, sanatoriums, camps and administrative facilities across various regions of Azerbaijan.
