On 16 December 2025, another presentation ceremony of the innovative book project “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance”, commissioned by the Karabakh Revival Fund, was held.
The event, hosted at the Presidential Library of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, brought together state and government officials, donors and partners of the Fund, as well as prominent public and media representatives.
The ceremony began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence in honour of the martyrs who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Motherland.
Delivering the welcoming remarks, the Director of the Presidential Library, Afet Abbasova, noted that the publication will play an important role in presenting the realities of Karabakh comprehensively to both international and local audiences and will serve as a reliable reference source for readers.
Opening the event, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, provided extensive information about the importance of the book “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance” and the process of its preparation.
It was noted that the book offers broad coverage of the history of Karabakh, the period of occupation, liberation, the ongoing restoration process, and the vision for the future — combining text, photographs, and interviews with officials, state representatives, and experts, as well as the memories of those displaced from their native lands.
It was highlighted that “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance” is a component of a special digital ecosystem created within the framework of the project. Tens of QR codes placed throughout the book allow readers to access materials available on the project website, www.book.revival.az, and other online resources, including expanded photo galleries, full video and text versions of exclusive interviews, historical literature, and additional content.
It was also noted that by visiting the online store at https://book.revival.az/estore/ and making a donation to the Fund, readers can obtain the book in various editions and formats (including Classic, Prestige, and Signature Collection).
Another element of the ecosystem is the AI-powered guide “Zafar AI”, designed in the form of a Phoenix, which provides readers with extensive information about the book’s content and, more broadly, about the history of Karabakh and East Zangezur, the occupation, and the ongoing revival.
These features take the publication beyond the classical book format, transforming it into a dynamic, interactive, and innovative project adapted to the reading habits of modern generations.
Rahman Hajiyev noted that the purpose of preparing the book is to convey to the international community the realities of Karabakh, as well as the large-scale reconstruction and development efforts carried out under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in the liberated territories.
The author of the book, British writer Graeme Wilson, also spoke at the event, sharing insights into the preparation process of the publication and his views on Azerbaijan.
Speakers at the event — including the Rector of the Baku Music Academy and member of the Fund’s Supervisory Board, Farhad Badalbeyli; the Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, Ravan Hasanov; the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council, Rashad Majid; Doctor of Philosophy in History and Adviser to the Director of the Presidential Library, Nazim Mustafa; the Deputy Director of the A.A. Bakikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Ilgar Niftaliyev; and other speakers — underscored the significance of the book and emphasised that the publication will make a substantial contribution to presenting the realities of Karabakh to international audiences, as well as the restoration and reconstruction processes carried out in the liberated territories under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and the initiatives aimed at establishing peace in the region.
At the conclusion of the event, a “Donation Certificate” was presented on behalf of the Fund to the Veyseloglu Group of Companies, which donated 10,000 AZN to the Karabakh Revival Fund in support of the restoration of Karabakh and obtained the book “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance”.
It should be noted that during the event, a video presentation of the book, as well as the “From Tragedy to Triumph” video dedicated to the restoration and revival of the liberated territories, were screened.
Those who wish to obtain the book “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance” may visit the online store at https://book.revival.az/estore/, select the preferred edition, and acquire the book by donating to the Karabakh Revival Fund.
In the near future, the book will also be translated into Azerbaijani and several foreign languages.
Additionally, during the event, a photo exhibition titled “Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance”, featuring images from the book and showcasing the restoration and construction works carried out in the liberated territories, as well as the rich nature and unique flora and fauna of Karabakh, was displayed.
