"Young Innovators of Azerbaijan" project launches a comprehensive learning Olympiad

Under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the magnificent victory of the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War has put an end to the long-standing occupation of Karabakh, ensuring the territorial integrity of our country.

Comprehensive reconstruction and development works are currently being implemented for the restoration of the liberated territories, ensuring their sustainable development, rapid integration into the national economy, and the creation of decent living conditions.

Taking this into account, under the initiative and organization of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminar / ADA University Gazakh Center, with the support of the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (excluding the Shusha region), an Olympiad titled "The Restoration of Karabakh through the Eyes of Students" is launched among schoolchildren as part of the "Young Innovators of Azerbaijan" project.

The main purpose of conducting the first project-based learning Olympiad nationwide is to ensure students' immersion in project-based learning, encourage the practical application of their knowledge about Karabakh and support the development of their research, presentation, evaluation and creative thinking skills.

Participation requirements for the Olympiad are as follows:

  • With the exception of the cities of Baku and Sumgayit, students from other cities and regions of Azerbaijan can participate in the Olympiad by submitting the required documents.
  • Each general education school can participate in the competition with one or more teams, each consisting of 5-7 students. Students eligible to participate in the teams are currently enrolled in grades 6-9 of the general education school. Each team must be mentored by one teacher from the school.
  • To participate in the Olympiad, each team must submit a project proposal focused on the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories.
  • Schools interested in participating in the Olympiad should register their teams through this portal.
  • Afterwards, the team and their mentor should prepare their projects by the specified deadline and submit them along with a video presentation to the following email address: nmahammadli@ada.edu.az.
  • The projects submitted by participating teams will be evaluated by the judging panel, and teams with the best models and presentations will be invited to the final. During the final, the judging panel will determine the winning team. The students and teachers of the winning team will be awarded various prizes and certificates of achievement.
  • The mentor teacher of the winning team will earn the right to participate in the "Manifesto of a Teacher" specialization program to be organized during the 2023-2024 academic year.

The conditions for the projects are as follows:

  • Each team must present their project in front of a camera for a duration of 10 minutes and submit the video recording. Ten photos highlighting the model of the project must be provided.
  • The team should present the written text of their project, consisting of a minimum of 1200 characters, in a Word document using "Times New Roman" font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Completed works should be sent to the email address nmahammadli@ada.edu.az.
