Final Ceremony of the First Comprehensive Learning Olympiad "Young Innovators of Azerbaijan"
The final ceremony of the first comprehensive learning Olympiad titled "Young Innovators of Azerbaijan" was held at ADA University under the initiative and organization of the Goychay Teachers' Seminar / ADA University Goychay Center, with the support of the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories (except for the Shusha region).
Held under the slogan "Restoration of Karabakh through the eyes of students," the Olympiad saw the participation of teams consisting of 5-7 students from 37 cities and regions of Azerbaijan, excluding Baku and Sumgayit, presenting projects they prepared on the restoration and rebuilding of the liberated territories, except for the Shusha region, totaling 735 students.
Addressing the participants and guests of the Olympiad, Vafa Kazdal, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at ADA University, emphasized the importance of the project, highlighting the role of the ADA Goychay Center in its implementation.
The Vice Rector emphasized that the initiative, as a regional project, brought together nearly 800 students from 235 teams representing up to 40 districts. He noted that 105 of these projects had earned the right to participate in the competition.
Hafiz Pashayev, the Rector of ADA University, Ambassador, noted the significant importance of each project related to the restoration of Karabakh and expressed satisfaction that students, especially schoolchildren, were showing interest in this process.
Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories (except for the Shusha region), speaking about the restoration process in the liberated territories, mentioned that among those resettled in Zangilan, Tartar, and Lachin, there were students participating in this Olympiad who were of the same age, and they themselves were vivid witnesses to the reconstruction process. He added that the majority of the projects presented by the participating students covered the strategic areas determined by our state.
Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, shared his thoughts on the innovative ideas presented by the students and reiterated the Fund's commitment to supporting initiatives contributing to the reconstruction of the liberated territories. He emphasized the importance of turning Karabakh into Azerbaijan's innovation hub, with human intelligence at its center.
Later, the project manager of the Olympiad, Samira Agayeva, and the Chief Advisor of ADA Goychay Center, Natig Mammadli, spoke about the results of the project.
After presenting the video summaries of the projects of the top 5 teams that qualified for the final stage, the names of the winners were announced, and they were presented with certificates, gifts, and took commemorative photos.
The first place was awarded to the "Innovator" team of Sheki City Chemical School, the second place to the "Phi" team of Yevlakh City Samad Vurgun School, the third place to the "Return" team of Taxtakorpu village secondary school in Lachin, the fourth place to the "Karabakhnama" team of Oghuz City Nail Ibrahimli School No. 3, and the fifth place to the "Ultimate" project of the Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics School in Ganja City.
Lastly, a campus tour of ADA University was organized for the students.
It should be noted that the aim of the "Young Innovators of Azerbaijan" Olympiad is to ensure students' mastery of project-based learning, encourage them to apply their knowledge about Karabakh in practice, support the development of their research and presentation skills, as well as evaluation and creative thinking.
