The Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF) organized a meeting for exchange of ideas between educational institutions and donors, with the participation of the Minister of Science and Education

On October 8th, a meeting was held organized by the Karabakh Revival Fund with the participation of the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev.

The meeting brought together the leaders of higher and private educational institutions, as well as representatives of leading companies in the country.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the role of educational institutions in the restoration and reconstruction of Karabakh, the advancement of collaboration in this field, and other related topics.

Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev stated that the restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories are progressing rapidly, and significant projects related to education are being implemented in those areas. As an example, he mentioned the newly constructed school in Agali village, emphasizing that the school is equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities.

Emin Amrullayev noted that construction works for new schools are ongoing in Shusha, Agdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Zangilan. The Minister emphasized the importance of considering the knowledge and skills of the people returning to the liberated territories. According to him, by creating a progressive urban model and establishing new job opportunities in those areas, it is possible to facilitate the swift return of young people to those regions.

Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, provided detailed information to the participants about the main directions of the Fund’s activities, the work done and the planned projects.

Rahman Hajiyev emphasized the significant role of educational institutions in the restoration of the liberated territories, highlighting that collaboration and joint projects among educational institutions can expedite the restoration process. He stressed the importance of informing young people, including students, about the damage inflicted on our liberated territories and the projects implemented there. The Chairman of the Executive Board also expressed gratitude to the leaders of universities for their positive approach, mentioning that proposals for organizing educational awareness events at universities have been submitted.

Regarding the scene we faced after the liberation of our lands, Rahman Hajiyev noted that it is essential to demonstrate solidarity to quickly eliminate the consequences of the damage and transform Karabakh into a prosperous region. He underscored those collective efforts can alleviate the burden on the state in the restoration process and accelerate the ongoing projects in restoration and reconstruction.

Rahman Hajiyev mentioned that since its establishment, the Fund has received donations from thousands of compatriots and hundreds of companies, demonstrating the unity of our people around the significant value of Karabakh's revival. This voluntary support is a clear example of our nation's solidarity.

Rahman Hajiyev noted that a Memorandum has been signed with several government agencies, as well as with the Ministry of Science and Education, regarding collaboration. He provided information about projects implemented within the framework of this cooperation and supported by the financial assistance of the Fund.Top of Form

Rahman Hajiyev emphasized that combating corruption and ensuring transparency are given special importance in the activities of the Fund. To achieve transparency and accountability, the Fund conducts all its procurement of goods and services in accordance with the relevant legislation on public procurement through open tenders and other appropriate methods. This, in turn, contributes significantly to increasing competitiveness and creating favorable business conditions for entrepreneurs.

The Chairman of the Executive Board noted that in addition to the legal requirement for accountability, the Fund also feels a responsibility to the public. Continuous sharing of information such as the activities undertaken by the Fund, the status of projects, audit results, etc., with the public, as well as posting reports in an open format on the Fund's official website, demonstrates this commitment to transparency and accountability.

Rahman Hajiyev mentioned that the Fund attaches special importance to ecological projects alongside the restoration of historical monuments. According to him, the project for afforestation in Zangilan district will be completed soon. Additionally, a magnificent Central Park will be created on a 22-hectare area in Fuzuli city.

Furthermore, during the event, a video presentation titled "Urbicide in Karabakh" was showcased, prepared based on materials from the "Karabakh.Center" internet resource, with the distinguished Mehriban Khanum Aliyeva, the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as the initiator of the idea.

During the meeting, Aygun Mikayilova, the director of the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, provided information about the charity concert "A Tree from Each of Us for Karabakh". She noted that during the charity concert organized with the participation of children, 600 trees were donated to the Karabakh Revival Fund with the funds raised, aimed at afforestation projects in Karabakh.

After the speeches, discussions continued, focusing on the role of educational institutions in the restoration and reconstruction process of Karabakh. Various ideas and suggestions were voiced, and discussions revolved around these ideas and proposals.

Following the discussions, "Donor Certificates" were presented to donors who supported the efforts in the restoration and reconstruction of Karabakh. These donors included Baku State University, Baku Eurasian University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan State Music College, Kaspi High School, I. Efendiyev Elite Gymnasium, the Department of Major Construction and Equipment of the Ministry of Education, Astara district Pedagogical College and Landau School. The certificates were presented by the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, and the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev.

In the agreement, dissemination of information about the damage inflicted on the Karabakh region as a result of the occupation among the participants of the education system, as well as other interested individuals and groups, including the promotion of youth participation in projects, has proven to be effective.
