Information about the Conference:

On June 29, 2022, an international conference on "Promoting Partnerships and Activities in Sustainable Management of Water Resources" was held in the "Smart Village" residential complex in the Agali village of Zangilan district, organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Karabakh Revival Fund.

The conference discussed current issues such as efforts to achieve sustainable development in water resources, creating dialogue at the global and regional levels for the effective solution of this issue, and establishing cross-border cooperation.

As part of the conference, diplomatic corps representatives familiarized themselves with the infrastructure created in the "Smart Village".

Conference Outcome:

At the end of the conference, a document on the results was adopted to be presented as a gift at the event of the Water Convention to be held in Estonia on June 30.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan ratified the Water Convention in 2000 and actively participates  in its implementation.
