Rahman Hajiyev provided foreign diplomats with information about the destruction caused by Armenians in Karabakh

On June 10, 2022, Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, spoke during the presentation segment of the "Foreign Policy Program for Foreign Diplomats" jointly organized by the Development and Diplomacy Institute of ADA University and the International Development Assistance Agency (AIDA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, upon the invitation of the International Development Assistance Agency (AIDA).

Rahman Hajiyev provided detailed information about the material damage, architectural landmarks, and historical monuments affected by Armenian terror in the liberated territories during his presentation titled "Urbicide in Karabakh" in front of 15 diplomats representing 11 countries as part of the specialization course "Foreign Policy Program for Foreign Diplomats - 2022."

During his speech, Rahman Hajiyev presented the "Urbicide in Karabakh" video and the photo exhibition of the same name to the participants of the event. These materials were based on the "Karabakh.Center" internet resource, initiated by the esteemed First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva. They aimed to systematize and disseminate objective information about the causes of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the consequences of Armenia's aggression and the appalling damage inflicted on our liberated territories, historical monuments, mosques, cemeteries, and other tangible objects.

The Chairman of the Executive Board emphasized the importance of combining the efforts of the state, business and society in eliminating the damage, highlighting the role of unity in the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories and emphasizing the implementation of joint initiatives in the recovery process.

Speaking about the significant works being carried out in the liberated territories, the Chairman of the Executive Board also mentioned the policies implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, including the development of the country's market economy, increasing transparency in government institutions, and combating corruption.

According to the Chairman’s remarks, ensuring transparency and competitiveness in projects executed with state funds (including the financial support of the KRF) in the liberated territories is of particular importance. For this reason, all projects are implemented in accordance with the relevant legislation on state procurement, ensuring the selection of contractors through transparent and competitive processes. Additionally, various transparent tender mechanisms are established to create opportunities for unimpeded activities for both local and foreign investors in these areas.

Furthermore, Rahman Hajiyev provided detailed information about the events organized by the Fund, the projects envisaged for the current year, as well as the opportunities for donations and ways to contribute. He also addressed questions posed by foreign diplomats.
