"Friends of Karabakh Revival Fund” Business Platform

In Aghdam, the Karabakh Revival Fund, along with the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AMCHAM), held a discussion meeting on the topic of "Economic Development Potential of the Aghdam District" in the liberated part of the Aghdam region. 

Before the event, participants visited various sites in Aghdam city, including the Imaret complex, the Bread Museum, the State Drama Theater, the Friday Mosque, the Qiyasli Mosque and the Shahbulag complex. Singers performed national music for the guests in front of the State Drama Theater. 

During the event, Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated part of the Aghdam region, provided participants with information about the general plan of the Aghdam district, the master plan of the city, its infrastructure and the economic potential of the region. 

Later, Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, informed the participants about the establishment, mission, values, current activity directions, goals and objectives of the Fund. 

Discussing the scale of the damage caused to our territories as a result of Armenian occupation, Rahman Hajiyev emphasized that the restoration process is a significant and complex undertaking. He highlighted that the idea initiator of the comprehensive resource containing detailed information about the damages inflicted on our liberated territories is the esteemed First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, and provided detailed information about the "Karabakh.Center" (https://karabakh.center/en) internet resource created by the Karabakh Revival Fund. 

Rahman Hajiyev emphasized the importance of combining not only the resources of the state but also the efforts of our society and diaspora to expedite the restoration works in Karabakh. He underscored the significance of such visits, stating, "One can only grasp the complexity and scale of the restoration process in these territories after witnessing the devastation with their own eyes".

Nuran Karimov, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan, emphasized the necessity of organizing such visits during his speech.

At the end of the event, a question-and-answer session was held.

During the discussion, guests were informed about the Fund's #KarabakhChallenge campaign and booklets were presented.

Regardless of the amount, every compatriot can contribute to the revival of our liberated territories by giving their gift to Karabakh.

Donations will be directed towards measures aimed at the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as transforming them into a resilient economy and a prosperous region, along with restoring ecological balance in the region.
