Memorandum Signed Between Karabakh Revival Fund and AFFA

On September 13, 2021, at Baku Olympic Stadium, a ceremony was held for the signing of a "Memorandum of Understanding" between the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA) and the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF).

The Executive Vice-President of AFFA, Elshan Mammadov, and the Chairman of the Executive Board of Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev signed the memorandum.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding, during the 2022 World Cup qualifying stage to be held in Qatar, AFFA will donate 10% of the revenue from ticket sales for all home games of the Azerbaijani national team to KRF.

Furthermore, AFFA will actively promote the culture of philanthropy among the public during Azerbaijan national team matches. In accordance with the terms of the Memorandum, KRF initiatives will also be supported during other professional and amateur football tournaments organized with the support of AFFA. In turn, the Karabakh Revival Fund will acknowledge AFFA as a partner during its events.

Elshan Mammadov, the Executive Vice-President of AFFA, expressed that the signing of the Memorandum is a very important and prideful event for the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association. He expressed confidence that this partnership will be successful for both sides. He emphasized the importance of supporting the restoration and development of the liberated territories.

Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, appreciated this initiative and expressed gratitude to AFFA for their participation in this important mission. He stated, "Together, we will restore Karabakh faster and more beautifully," inviting all compatriots to join hands for this purpose. He emphasized that it is time for our community to restore the liberated lands with the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and the heroism of our Victorious Army.
