1st International Scientific-Practical Conference on "Building a New Economy in Karabakh: Development impulses from Aghdam"
"International Scientific-Practical Conference on Building New Economy in Karabakh: Development Impulses from Aghdam" will be held
On September 16-17, 2021, an International Scientific-Practical Conference on "Building New Economy in Karabakh: Development Impulses from Aghdam" will be held with the participation of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam region, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Institute of Economics of ANAS.
It should be noted that the plenary session of the conference will take place in Aghdam, while other sessions will be conducted online.
During the 2-day conference, the following topics will be discussed:
- Establishment of a new economy in Aghdam: economic potential, priorities, expectations;
- Natural resources and green energy potential of Aghdam and Karabakh as a whole;
- Balance between traditional and non-traditional sectors of the economy in Karabakh;
- Discussions on the return of internally displaced persons to Aghdam and Karabakh as a whole.
A compilation of articles and abstracts from the conference will be published. Submissions for publication are accepted in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English languages and in electronic format.
Articles and theses should be prepared according to the following requirements:
- In Microsoft Word format (A4 size), using Times New Roman font (font size - 12; line spacing - 1.15; margins: left - 3 cm, right - 1 cm, top and bottom - 2 cm).
- The volume of the article should be between 15,000-20,000 characters, and the volume of theses should be between 2,000-2,500 characters.
- The title of the article should be in uppercase, bold, with a font size of 12. The author's (authors') surname, name, patronymic (in full), should be in 12-point font; the author's (authors') academic degree, scientific title, the name of the institution where he/she works or studies (for doctoral students and postgraduates), email address, and contact number should be on a new line, in 11-point font. The summary of the article should be written in 11-point font, with a maximum of 1,000 characters. The bibliography should be compiled in alphabetical order, with an 11-point font.
- Furthermore, the article text should include the following sections:
- Introduction (or Statement of the Problem)
- Analysis and Evaluation
- Conclusion and Recommendations
Articles should be submitted electronically to agdam@pa.gov.az no later than September 10, 2021. Please note that articles and theses that are not submitted by the specified date and do not comply with the scientific directions of the Conference will not be accepted.
