A working meeting was held between the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Anar Bagirov, the President of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nadir Adilov, the President of the Mediation Council, as well as the leaders of law firms operating in Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, and other cities.
It should be noted that the participating institutions donated a total of 100,800 manats to the Fund.
Opening the event, Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, expressed his gratitude to Anar Bagirov, the President of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and to all members of the Association for their donations to the Fund in order to support the work carried out in the direction of the restoration of the territories liberated from occupation with the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
He emphasized the importance of solidarity in the restoration of the liberated territories, stating: "I believe that this step will not only increase our society's support for the restoration of the liberated territories but will also contribute to closer unity around Karabakh."
Rahman Hajiyev noted that since its establishment, thousands of compatriots have donated to the Fund to support the revival of Karabakh, considering such initiatives as clear examples of our solidarity.
Rahman Hajiyev also spoke about ensuring transparency, mentioning that information about the results of the audit conducted by "PwC Azerbaijan" was presented to the participants.Later, a video presentation titled "Urbicide in Karabakh," prepared based on the materials of the "Karabakh.Center" internet resource (https://karabakh.center/en), which was initiated by the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, was showcased.
Anar Bagirov, the President of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance they attach to cooperation with the Karabakh Revival Fund and expressed their intention to continue supporting the Fund's activities.He stated: "The Bar Association always tries to actively participate in solving problems that concern our society. We intend to cooperate closely with the Karabakh Revival Fund regarding the restoration of the liberated territories. We would like our cooperation to continue in various formats, and we would like to participate more closely in the projects implemented by the Fund."
After the speeches, the meeting continued with discussions. The participants expressed their opinions and suggestions on expanding cooperation between the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, lifting the sanctions against companies that have engaged in illegal activities in the liberated territories, and other issues.
At the end of the meeting, 37 organizations that donated to the Fund were presented with "Donation Certificates" by the Karabakh Revival Fund.
