Soil samples from 'Fuzuli Central Park' will undergo laboratory analysis in Türkiye

On September 28, a meeting was held in the liberated city of Fuzuli regarding the establishment of the 'Central Park' to be created there.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Karabakh Revival Fund, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the special representatives of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories (excluding the Shusha region), and delegates from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, who are currently visiting our country.

The meeting was organized jointly by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Karabakh Revival Fund. During the meeting, detailed information about the 'Fuzuli Central Park' project was provided to the guests, and relevant discussions on the topic were conducted.

Subsequently, soil samples were collected from various locations within the park area. Based on the results of the analyses to be conducted in a modern laboratory located in Türkiye, which will determine the tree species suitable for the area's climate. The climate conditions of the area will determine the types of trees to be planted in the park.

It should be noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the First Lady, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, planted trees on May 10 of this year at the site of the “Fuzuli Central Park” complex. Information about the work to be carried out in the park was provided to the head of state and the first lady.

It is worth recalling that the liberation of our territories from Armenian occupation, besides being a humanitarian disaster, also revealed the extent of destruction in Karabakh, where hundreds of settlements and thousands of buildings were virtually wiped out by Armenian occupiers.

The damage is not limited to material objects, historical monuments and architectural treasures. The relentless exploitation of natural resources, deforestation and pollution of rivers and lakes have inflicted significant harm on the ecology of the region.

The establishment of 'Fuzuli Central Park' will make a significant contribution to the efforts aimed at restoring ecological balance in the liberated territories, transforming these areas into healthy, modern, and prosperous living environments, and supporting the sustainable settlement of residents.
