Rahman Hajıyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, delivered a speech at the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis held in Shusha upon the invitation of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
During the Congress, which followed the President's important and magnificent speech with rich messages, discussions focused on both the future strategy of our diaspora's activities and the goals and responsibilities facing the Azerbaijani people and state as a whole.
Rahman Hajıyev emphasized the historical significance of this event, which took place in liberated Shusha, as a kind of message to the entire global community, highlighting that the main agenda of the Congress was the revival of Karabakh.
In his speech, Rahman Hajıyev provided detailed information about the scale of the damage inflicted by Armenians during the 30 years of occupation of Karabakh. He underscored that in addition to material objects, significant harm was inflicted on the region's ecological environment, natural resources, forest massifs, and water reserves.
While discussing the possibility of implementing restoration works within a shorter period through the synergy of state institutions, society, the diaspora, and foreign capital, Rahman Hajıyev cited examples from the history of two French cities, Laon and Reims, during the First World War. He highlighted how the synergy of public involvement, local entrepreneurs, and foreign capital ensured the faster restoration of Reims.
Rahman Hajıyev concluded his speech by providing detailed information about the main activities, mission, objectives, priorities, and values of the Karabakh Revival Fund, as well as the current projects and events implemented by the Fund.
Finally, Rahman Hajıyev expressed his gratitude to the delegation and the leader of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov, for the invitation to the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis and for the opportunity created.
