On April 21, the second Supervisory Board (SB) meeting of the Karabakh Revival Fund was held.

The meeting took place in an online format, and it was attended by the Chairman of the SB Mikayil Jabbarov, who is also the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as other members of the board including the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Rzayev, Member of Parliament and President of the Public Union of Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh Region of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev, Member of Parliament Fatma Yildirim, the Rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, the Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Adalat Muradov, the Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages Kamal Abdulla, and the People's Artist of Azerbaijan Alim Gasimov. Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, also participated in the meeting.

During the event, the participants discussed the tasks set forth by President Ilham Aliyev in front of the Fund, emphasizing the necessity of creating a robust organization that can contribute to the revival of the liberated territories from occupation.

The organizational structure of the Fund’s executive office  and staffing table, as well as the drafts of the Fund’s Activity Plan, Operational Budget and the members of the Investment Policy Supervisory Board for the year 2021, were presented to the attention of the members of the Supervisory Board. These documents are based on the directives of our state's leadership and utilize modern corporate governance principles to create a resilient organization capable of fulfilling the assigned tasks. 

Subsequently, a vote was held among the members of the Supervisory Board and the drafts of the presented documents were approved.  

Additionally, the project of the "Karabakh Center" portal, containing over ten thousand photo documents related to the damage caused by the Armenian occupation of Karabakh, was presented to the Supervisory Board members. 

The portal includes photos of hundreds of destroyed buildings, as well as exclusive materials on the history, architecture, religious, and cultural monuments of the Azerbaijani people, along with historical facts and reasons for the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. The portal is prepared in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, the English version to be finalized soon. Plans are also in place to translate all materials into several other languages and actively promote them online, especially on social networks. 

The portal will be presented to the public in the near future. 

The "Karabakh Center" portal was created by the Karabakh Revival Fund at the initiative of the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva. 

Participants of the meeting once again emphasized the special significance of the establishment of the Karabakh Revival Fund based on the decree of President Ilham Aliyev and expressed their confidence in the Fund’s ability to   effectively fulfill its tasks in the future.
