The Memorandum was signed by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, and Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund.

The purpose of the Memorandum of Agreement is to promote joint efforts in restoring ecological balance and natural objects in the liberated territories, contributing to sustainable settlement and development in the region, and creating favorable living conditions. It also aims to promote measures to enhance social-economic well-being both domestically and internationally.

According to the agreement, projects such as the restoration of ecosystems and infrastructure, establishment of hydro-meteorological observation systems, creation of environmental monitoring stations, afforestation, forest restoration activities, efficient utilization of water resources, and evaluation of water sources will be implemented in the region.
