"Win for Karabakh!": Karabakh Revival Fund and Baku Marathon Club  Participate Together in Baku Marathon

On May 2nd, Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF), met with Firdovsi Karimov, the founder of the Baku Marathon Club, and club members.

During the meeting, it was announced that on May 5th, 2024, under the organization of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the next Baku Marathon will take place. The club's team, consisting of 21 members, including two foreign citizens, will compete under the slogan "Win for Karabakh!"

Based on the agreement reached between the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Baku Marathon Club, various initiatives are planned to be implemented under this slogan to promote the idea of the revival of Karabakh domestically and internationally.

Rahman Hajiyev, appreciating the offer of the KRF's participation in the Baku Marathon under the name "Baku Marathon," wished success to the team.

During the meeting, specially designed racing uniforms were presented to the club members by the KRF.

It should be noted that, just like last year, the Karabakh Revival Fund, as a partner, will participate in the fan zone of the Marathon with a special green pavilion called the "Marathon Garden."

Taking into account the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in our country by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and also considering the restoration of ecological balance in the liberated territories as one of the priority directions of the KRF's activities, the Fund's stand at the "Baku Marathon" is dedicated to environmental protection.
