Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Baku Marathon was held on May 5th.

This year, just like last year, the Karabakh Revival Fund participated as a partner under the slogan "Win for Karabakh".

It should be noted that in consideration of the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in our country by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and taking into account the restoration of ecological balance in the liberated territories as one of the priority directions of the KRF's activities, a special green pavilion called the "Marathon Garden" was created by the KRF at the fan zone of the Marathon, organized with the support and sponsorship of the Karabakh Revival Fund.

The specially arranged pavilion, dedicated to environmental protection, was warmly welcomed by the participants of the Marathon.

Prominent representatives of the public, veterans of the Patriotic War, youth, foreign guests participating in the Marathon, and other individuals visiting the pavilion were provided with extensive information about the projects implemented by the Karabakh Revival Fund with its financial support and initiative. Especially, detailed information was provided about the project of planting a forest consisting of 30,000 trees at the entrance of Zangilan city and the future Fuzuli Central Park project to be implemented in Fuzuli city, exhibited in an interactive manner through monitors.

Visitors also had the opportunity to learn about the ecological devastation caused by Armenian occupiers in Karabakh - ecocide.

Additionally, brochures containing information about the natural monuments of Karabakh were presented to the visitors of the pavilion.

The Karabakh Revival Fund did not forget the young children. Children of the Rehabilitation Center for People with Down Syndrome, operating near the "Care for a Healthy Generation" Public Association, who visited the Fund's pavilion, were presented with special gifts by the Fund. Children took photos and played various games.

Marathon participants showed great interest in the victorine called "Let’s learn Karabakh with love" organized by the KRF. Participants who correctly answered questions about Karabakh in the quiz were awarded with gifts from the "Incredible Karabakh" t-shirt collection featuring symbols of Karabakh.

It should be noted that 21 members of the Baku Marathon Club also participated on behalf of the KRF in the Marathon. The Club's team fought under the slogan "Win for Karabakh!".

It is worth mentioning that on May 2, Rahman Hajiyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF), met with Firdovsi Karimov, the founder of the Baku Marathon Club, and club members. At the end of the meeting, club members participating on behalf of the Fund in the Baku Marathon were presented with specially designed racing uniforms.

Based on the agreement reached between the Karabakh Revival Fund and the Baku Marathon Club, various initiatives are planned to be implemented under this slogan to promote the idea of the revival of Karabakh domestically and internationally.
