On June 13, 2024, Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Execuitve Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, delivered a speech at the “Foreign Policy Program” jointly organized by ADA University and the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for foreign diplomats.

Marking his third year participating in this program, Rahman Hajiyev provided detailed insights into the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the damage caused by Armenian terrorism to material assets and historic architectural monuments in the liberated territories, and the ongoing efforts to rebuild and restore Karabakh.

The Chairman emphasized the significance of uniting the efforts of the state, business sector, and society to address the damage and highlighted the crucial role of solidarity in the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories.

In conclusion, Rahman Hajiyev outlined the activities of the Fund, the projects planned for the current year, and provided extensive information about the donations received and opportunities for further contributions to the Fund.

For context, the program serves as a diplomatic bridge between continents, bringing together 21 diplomats representing 14 countries from America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. These countries included Guyana, Burkina Faso, Ecuador, Sierra Leone, Belarus, Moldova, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and others.

The program offers a unique platform for diplomats to exchange ideas, share experiences, and engage in thought-provoking discussions on geopolitical dynamics.

During the event, professors and faculty members of ADA University, staff of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, and invited guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and other state institutions delivered presentations to the foreign diplomats. Topics included international politics, effective diplomatic practices, professional skill development, Azerbaijan’s foreign policy priorities and achievements, energy diplomacy, Azerbaijan’s role in the development of international transport corridors, as well as the country’s history, national identity, tourism potential, and success in digital innovation and public services.

It should be noted that this program, held seven times since its inception in 2018, has hosted 96 foreign diplomats from 63 countries in previous years.
