The next panel discussion, held within the framework of the “Diaspora Youth’s V Summer Camp for a Green World” in the Lachin region, focused on the restoration and reconstruction work in the territories liberated from occupation.
The panel was moderated by Elshad Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs, and featured Aydin Karimov, the President’s Special Representative in Shusha, Rahman Hajiyev, The Chairman of the Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, and Hussein Guliyev, an official from the Presidential Special Representative’s office in Lachin.

Rahman Hajiyev provided detailed information to the camp participants about the activities of the Karabakh Revival Fund and the projects carried out with its financial support in the liberated territories.
He spoke about the Fund’s efforts in ensuring sustainable resettlement in the liberated areas, providing modern and dignified living conditions, as well as ongoing restoration, construction, and improvement works. Hajiyev also highlighted the Fund’s role in supporting safe living, effective functioning, and continuous improvement of welfare.
Hajiyev emphasized that the Azerbaijani diaspora, including those living abroad, has a crucial role in the reconstruction of the liberated areas, noting that the “Diaspora Youth’s V Summer Camp” holds great significance in this regard:
“As you know, during the nearly 30 years of occupation, Karabakh suffered severe damage, not only to our settlements but also to our historical and religious monuments, as well as to the environment. The Azerbaijani diaspora can contribute significantly to the restoration and support the reconstruction efforts in various ways.
Many of the youth here today will be tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and businessmen. They can play an important role in the reconstruction and development of Karabakh by investing in the region. Furthermore, through the Karabakh Revival Fund, donations of any size can also support the reconstruction process.”
Rahman Hajiyev also highlighted the active role the Azerbaijani diaspora could play in communicating the ongoing restoration and construction efforts in Karabakh to the international community.
Following the speeches, the event continued with discussions on topics such as the role of the Azerbaijani diaspora in raising awareness about the destruction caused by Armenian terrorism during the occupation and other related issues.
At the end of the event, a video showcasing the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in Karabakh was presented.
